Manager, Interiors

Patricia Desmet

R.I.D.

What makes Omicron a great place to work?

The friendships I made are the most amazing part of working at Omicron in the interior design department. We are connected and feel confident that we can share personal and work issues with no fear of being judged. Being connected to your fellow colleagues is one of the most important parts of having an effective and engaged staff, and we believe our office spaces can either enhance or detract from this experience. We make it part of our goal to create spaces that connect individuals of an organization in every design we create.

What’s most rewarding about your role?

Mentoring younger designers is one of the most rewarding experiences in my current role as Manager, Interiors. I have learned just as much from the junior designers as they have learned from me. My primary goal when mentoring is to help them understand that details matter. I firmly believe that attention to detail is what elevates a design from good to outstanding. Designers will continue to be needed even in the world of AI, as AI would need to evolve to see projects as a whole rather than just parts of a space. An amazing designer will grow to have the ability to see how all parts of a space are connected, and here at Omicron, we strive to provide exceptional solutions for our clients.
