Omicron’s Digital Transformation in 2019

Purpose

Our goal is to transform the way we communicate, collaborate, engage, design, build, and develop, using key platform technologies across the business. This will enhance our delivery process, reinforce our collaborative culture, while also positioning Omicron as an industry leader. Engraining the culture of curiosity, and continuous learning behaviors will serve Omicron well, encouraging everyone to be an active partner in moving us forward.

New Digital Integration Manager

The first step in our digital transformation was to identify key leaders who can drive the process. As such, Karina Delcourt was appointed Digital Integration Manager, leading our strategic planning and organizational commitment to drive our digital transformation. Part of her job is to collaborate across disciplines to adopt more effective and efficient work flows, processes and training to achieve a unified technology platform.

2019 achievements
  • Identify areas of improved efficiencies
  • Support our goals with new policies and procedures for hardware
  • Use pilot projects to test streamlined processes and implement new software
  • Leverage existing databases into Business Intelligence dashboards
  • Invest in new building technologies, especially modular
Next steps
  • Implement the improved efficiencies
  • Pick one of the tested software and roll it out across all projects
  • Make more appointments and hires to create a team to support the Digital Integration Manager
  • Strategically improve our IT system to welcome new technologies
