Planned with intention, Omicron has thoughtfully incorporated the findings of extensive community consultation and engagement undertaken by the Victoria Airport Authority to develop Sidney Crossing. Adjacent to the Beacon Avenue intersection off the Patricia Bay Highway, the proposed project will beckon people to stop at the Town of Sidney’s front porch where they will discover goods and services that respond to the needs and wants of the local communities of the Saanich Peninsula and Gulf Islands.
Many of the proposed tenants at Sidney Crossing will represent community amenities – services that offer much needed medical services, quality health and wellness programs for all ages, and trusted childcare opportunities. Multi-modal transportation connectivity to downtown Sidney is essential. Our goal – which we believe is a shared objective with every business owner in Sidney – is to keep purchasers shopping locally in downtown stores by offering a broader selection of retailers not found in Sidney. With neighbouring municipalities all looking at ways to attract, keep and grow a commercial tax base, Sidney Crossing is a relevant opportunity.
